From Touching the Clouds: Encouraging Stories to Make Your Faith Soar

God does not want us to whine when He calls us to a seemingly impossible task. He is already on the other side and knows the rest of the story. He doesn’t want us to make excuses or point toward someone else who, in our opinion, could do a job better.

I think He is saying, “Be the best you can be. Go, and be strong in the Lord.”

His words to Joshua are just as useful for us today. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Read Joshua 1: 6-9 NASB).
